U of A Golden Bears Hockey Camp!
Camp: Golden Bears Hockey Camp
Dates: August 13th - 17th
Age Group: 5 - 16
Times: 8:00am - 8:45pm
Player Fee: $170.00 - $220.00 (depending on your age group)
Goalie Fee: $85.00 - $110.00 (depending on your age group)
Location: Bold Center Swamp Cats Arena
The camp consists of 3 major sessions: power skating, off-ice instruction & on-ice instruction. Each program is designed to challenge the participants, appropriate to their age & skill level. Participants will learn about edge control, balance, quickness, speed, agility & power in-skating. They will apply those skating skills to other skills of the game such as puck control, passing, shooting & checking (ages 11+) & the skills developed during on-ice sessions will be practiced in game-like situations. The off-ice session will focus on: individual strength, flexibility & endurance, concepts of the game, and team building exercises.
NOTE: each participant will receive a Golden Bears hockey practice jersey, water bottle & coupons from local businesses.

2012 Lac La Biche Minor Hockey Volunteer of the Year Award!
The Lac La Biche Minor Hockey Association had their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday April 25th. Thank you to all who attended! At the meeting the first annual Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Darlene Forrest for all of her hard work as Treasurer spending countless hours insuring our Association finances were all in order. In addition, she spent a tremendous amount of time in organizing tournaments, goalie clinics, casino applications and the list goes on. Thank you to Darlene again for all of your efforts! From the 2012 Board we look forward to the upcoming season! AGM minutes will be posted our website soon – check it out to stay informed as to the dates of next season's registrations and any further LLBMHA news!

Portage College Voyageurs Summer Hockey Camp
The Portage College Voyageurs are proud to be hosting the 3rd Annual Voyageurs Summer Hockey Camp in Lac La Biche.
The Hockey Camp is designed to keep the registrants busy all day with on-ice sessions, conditioning components and a variety of fun activities both at the mulitiplex in Lac La Biche (the Bold Center) and at Portage College. Free lunch is included everyday, in addition to season tickets and a practice jersey.
